Install sensors at the planned bearing housings and gearbox locations, then trend condition while the equipment runs under known operating conditions.

01Sense

Triaxial vibration at accessible, selected bearing and gear-train locations.

02Connect

Wireless sensor links to a gateway and the monitoring system.

03Interpret

Spectra, envelopes and trends reviewed with speed, load and equipment context.

04Act

Operator alerts, engineering review and prioritised maintenance actions.

RIG PULSE AI supports the interpretation of developing fault patterns across multiple measurement points. The monitoring plan aims to cover the equipment’s relevant bearings and gear stages; exact coverage depends on accessible mounting points, signal transmission and machine configuration.

Wireless communication does not automatically mean synchronised waveform capture. Simultaneous or phase-related analysis requires compatible hardware, clock synchronisation and an acquisition plan verified for the installation.

Portable wireless surveys

Targeted vibration analysis inspections, route measurements, baseline establishment and troubleshooting campaigns while the equipment is operating.

  • Defined measurement points and operating conditions
  • Repeatable spectra and envelope measurements
  • Inspection recommendations and follow-up trending

Installed wireless monitoring

A planned network of wireless sensors provides recurring measurements and equipment trends, with alerts for configured conditions.

  • Multiple bearing and gearbox measurement points
  • Asset-level dashboards and historical condition profiles
  • Engineer-reviewed alerts and maintenance priorities

Investigate the cause.

01

Bearing condition

BPFO, BPFI, rolling-element and cage frequencies, harmonics and sidebands help investigate developing bearing defects.

02

Gear condition

Gear-mesh frequencies, sidebands and changes across operating conditions support investigation of gear-train deterioration.

Lubrication & temperature

Broadband and impulsive vibration, temperature trends and maintenance records help investigate lubrication distress.

Pressure & auxiliary inputs

Low-pressure alerts require dedicated pressure measurements integrated with the condition system. Wireless vibration sensors alone do not measure oil pressure.
